PROJECT OVERVIEW

This project focused on designing a modern tourism website inspired by Mount Bromo, one of Indonesia’s most iconic volcanic destinations. The goal was to create an immersive digital experience that combines travel inspiration with practical trip-planning information for modern travellers.

The website was designed to showcase the natural beauty, local culture, and adventure experiences surrounding Mount Bromo while maintaining a clean, user-friendly interface across desktop and mobile devices.

THE PROBLEM

Many travel websites feel overcrowded, difficult to navigate, and lack emotional engagement. Users often struggle to quickly find important travel information while still wanting an inspiring visual experience.

The challenge was to design a platform that balanced stunning visuals with usability, allowing users to easily explore destinations, tours, travel guides, and accommodation information without overwhelming the experience.

MY DESIGN PROCESS

The design process focused heavily on visual storytelling, responsive layouts, and intuitive navigation. Large imagery, minimal layouts, and clear content hierarchy were used to create an atmospheric experience inspired by the landscape of Mount Bromo.

I explored modern editorial-style layouts, clean typography, and mobile-first design principles to improve accessibility and create a seamless browsing experience across devices. Special attention was given to user flow, content organization, and simplifying the booking and exploration process.

OUTCOME AND RESULTS

The final outcome was a visually engaging tourism website concept that combines inspiration with functionality. The project successfully created a clean and immersive user experience while showcasing the unique identity and atmosphere of Mount Bromo through thoughtful UX and visual design.
